all i have to say… and its not anything philisophical by any means… is that part of you that is constantly searching for and maybe even obsessed with the romantic part of really falling head-over-heels in love with someone was the very thing that caught my attention and drew me to you even at 15… i love that part of you and even if you someday come to the conclusion that maybe we cant all have love like that… i will forever be continuing to search for it… i think that once a person is completely comfortable with themselves and who they really are and they’re not trying to put on a show for the rest of the world about who they “may be” thats when you’re able to really open youre heart to the possibility of that kind of romantic, hollywood, head-over-heels, 100% completely in love with that one someone who is right for you kind of love… you simply need to be ready for it… heart wide open… ready to both give and recive the unfathomable amount of love that can manifest itself in your life and the lives of those around you… i know its there… ive seen it… just give it time

the “ghost” part of this rant is what stuck out to me most–possibly (forgive me for commenting amongst these philosophical family members of yours with this) because there’s an episode of sex and the city about “ghosts of relationships past.” you DO have to be sensitive with your ghosts, or else the haunt you forever…sometimes, they do, anyway. “When a relationship dies do we ever really give up the ghost, or are we forever haunted by the spirits of relationships past?”

then again, sometimes the ghost bugs you until you give the relationship a second chance (as was the case for carrie bradshaw in that particular episode). and sometimes (as was NOT the case for carrie, and only happens if you are very, very lucky), that second (or third, or fourth) chance can force you to finally see “the one” for who they are.

yeah. don’t let the rational minions (your ghosts) of Intellect ever define love (or most anything, for that matter) for you. they’re hell bent on killing the happiness of a life lived instinctively. go with it. trust yourself and then go with it some more. love. it only exists in life and poems anyway, where reason can never get at them. i like your blog.
